6. Competitive technologies for gas separation and treatment (cryogenic distillation, pressure swing adsorption, absorption methods etc.)
7. Societal relevance and acceptance

Objectifs

- To know general concepts, state-of-the-art membranes and technology used for gas separation and gas treatment.
- To understand main transport mechanisms in different types of gas separation membranes.
- To know main applications of membranes in separation processes, (catalytic) membrane reactors, and new applications of technological interest.
- To know competitive technologies for gas separation membranes and gas treatment.
- To prepare and characterize selected membranes.
- The ability to interpret experimental data and to draw conclusions..
Formation expérimentale :
- Laboratory classes dedicated to the implementation of membranes for gas separation
 

Pré-requis recommandés

1st year Master EM3E or 1st year master with required knowledge in material science, chemical engineering, numerical simulation and separation science.
